If you find yourself becomes increasingly anxious and suffer from panic attacks, you probably realize that something should be done. Stricken by a panic attack while driving leaves you will little alternative than to pull over until it passes. This is a situation that could conceivably cause you or other drivers harm. Perhaps you have become afraid of being around crowds and do not want to enter elevators any more.

A system that will help you to eliminate panic attacks has been perfected in the Panic Away course, which is available over the internet. This course will teach you not how to just cope with panic attacks, but how to remove them from your life forever. After suffering from panic attacks for years, imagine how wonderful it will feel to be free from them. These attacks can be so debilitating and self-limiting that it is time you were able to vanquish them from your life.

The Panic Away course teaches you how to break what it calls “The Anxiety Thought Loop”. After an initial panic attack, the sufferer becomes extremely apprehensive about experiencing another one. The Panic-Away course will teach you the ‘One Move Technique’ to help you break through your anxiety cycle.

According to this technique, it is necessary to return the brain to a normal state as quickly as possible. When under the sway of a panic attack, the midbrain, our good, old primitive survival brain takes over. The fight or flight command was all very well when dealing with actual physical threats, but when the midbrain starts controlling our thought patterns, something needs to be done to return control of our brain to the part that deals with rational behavior, the forebrain.

The Panic Away program will teach you the ‘One Move Technique’ to train yourself to not get your brain back to its thinking mode, rather than its emotional, impulsive mode. Once you learn the ‘One Move Technique’ you will be able to stop panic attacks cold and prevent their recurrence. Think how wonderful it would be to be able to go through life without debilitating and embarrassing panic attacks. You would have freedom to go wherever you wished and enjoy everything you wanted to without fear or anxiety.

The Panic Away program can be ordered right over the internet and will be downloaded onto your computer. It is not available in book form, but can be printed out by you to be read at your leisure. When you order, you will get the instant download of Panic Away and several useful bonus items. Your first bonus will be a Coaching Voucher, the second is Panic Free Presentations, and the third bonus is a set of audios: One Move Live Audio and Anxiety Driving Audio. You have nothing to lose except your panic attacks as the Panic Away course comes with a 100% money back guarantee, that is good for 8 weeks after you receive your course. .

Many people search for years for a way to control their panic attacks. Quite a few of them seek help from the medical establishment for psychotherapy or medication or both. When following this path, the patient is usually given some type of tranquilizer. While this might make the world seem more rosy, it does nothing to remove the panic attack at all, it is just lurking, waiting for the medication to wear off. Additionally, many of these tranquilizers can be addicting, and no one suffering from panic attacks needs another problem.

Some people have found relief from their panic and anxiety attacks by using a nutritional program. The first thing to check is to see whether you are getting the vitamins you need. Our bodies have certain requirements that cannot be ignored. If you are suffering from a vitamin deficiency, it can help to trigger panic attacks. You body is not in balance and this will affect your mind.

Dehydration can also cause panic attacks as the electrolyte levels in the body fluctuate and stress is put on the organs. It is necessary to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to keep your body hydrated properly. If some degree of dehydration has occurred, you should drink a fluid that contains an electrolyte balance. This will help your body to absorb water and should help reduce the chance of a panic attack.

If you are experiencing panic attacks, it would be best to avoid alcohol. Despite the fact that alcohol burns while going down and seems to warm, it is actually a bodily depressant. If you add alcohol’s mood altering qualities, you may be setting yourself up for a panic attack.

Caffeine is another substance that can produce panic attacks. Almost everyone is aware of ‘coffee jitters’, and consumption of too much caffeine can bring on a panic attack. Using decaffeinated coffee might help, but if you enjoy a robust cup of coffee, it would be advisable to limit intake to only one or two cups a day.

Finally, it has also been claimed that certain foods themselves might be a trigger for anxiety or panic attacks. There are certain foods that can cause your body chemistry to become more acidic, which is related to an increased possibility of panic attacks. You might want to cut back on your consumption of dairy products, meat, and sugar. When the body becomes acidic, it becomes stressed, making you more vulnerable to a panic attack. Eating more vegetables and fruit can help make your body more alkaline, reducing the possibility of a panic attack.

What can be more awful than to be suddenly stricken by a feeling of fear, danger, and helplessness. You may tell yourself that nothing is really threatening you, but the your heart keeps racing and you feel shaky and extremely nervous. This is because your body has produced an excess of adrenaline. You are not alone in suffering from this problem, it affects millions of people in the country and is a reaction to the stressful, uncertain conditions with which we live. You are not at fault, you are merely reacting to a situation where we all have too much to do and not enough time to relax. There is nothing you can do to alter the large picture, but you can take steps to help yourself cope with panic attacks. As you suffer more and more of these attacks, they begin to take over a larger and larger part of your life. Try the distraction technique to try to put yourself back in control of your emotions.

Distraction is a good way to short circuit a panic attack. Before the discovery of modern anaesthetics, distraction was often used (more or less successfully) when treating medical conditions, even surgery. If you enjoy watching television, turn on the tv and find a program that appeals to you. Let yourself get involved in it and your panic attack will subside. The point here is to replace the panic attack with something else.

Music is another good distraction, especially soothing music. Hard rock might tend to ramp you up even more, so stick to something classical or folk. It might help if you danced to the music, too. You might be surprised how easy it is to dance to most classical pieces of music, especially the older pieces. Once you are dancing, your body will release endorphins, which will help to relax you, too. These chemicals are produced by the pituitary gland and will help to overcome the negative effects of too much adrenaline in your system.

Exercising will also help not only to distract you, but will help with the release of endorphins. A brisk walk outside or a series of exercises performed in your home or apartment will help to quell that panic attack. At the first sign, begin your chosen exercise, and concentrate on what you are doing. Actively fight down the negative fear thoughts as you work out or walk. This technique and the others above will help you to gain more control over your life and hopefully put panic attacks behind you.

Panic attacks occur because on a very instinctual level, you feel you are under attack. This is a primal reaction to danger wherein the adrenal gland pumps out extra adrenaline into your system. This will cause your heart to beat faster, supplying more blood to your body for the flight or fight mechanism to kick in. The awful thing is, when a panic attack occurs, you are not in physical danger, you are just reacting to the overly stressful conditions of modern life. We in America are probably the hardest working people on earth – we work more and have less time off than almost anyone else in the world. Being under constant pressure all the time lays the groundwork for repeated panic attacks.

A good way to deal with panic attacks is by teaching yourself self-hypnosis. Naturally, this technique will have to be practiced while you are at home, in an environment where you feel safe. This article will deal with the basics of self-hypnosis; if desired, the reader can consult more detailed information available in various publications.

Once you feel a panic attack coming on, find a comfortable spot to lie down. Keep the lights low, but not off. Try to keep all distractions at a distance. To begin with, make sure that your body is absolutely comfortable, you will not be able to enter a hypnotic state if something is sticking into the back of your neck or your leg is twisted. Once you are comfortable, breathe deeply and tell yourself that your eyes are becoming heavy. After you have repeated this a few times, you will find your eyes are starting to feel sleepy. Let them close and continue breathing deeply.

The next step is to relax, completely and thoroughly. This serves not only the obvious benefit, but also helps you to enter the hypnotic state. Start at your toes and concentrate on causing each muscle relax. Work up the body to the head, addressing each part. You should be totally relaxed by now and very receptive to suggestion.

Let your mind and body drift as you think about overcoming your panic attacks. Tell yourself that you can control the situation of these attacks and keep them from flaring up. It is sometimes a good idea to choose a specific word that will act as a trigger to disconnect these attacks when they first start up. Choose any word you like, anything that makes you feel good. Now that you are in a suggestible state, repeat this word to yourself and tell yourself that it will be the “off switch” for a panic attack.

By now, your most recent panic attack is long gone and you can gradually allow yourself to return to normal. As you do, repeat to yourself how effective your special word will be. It will be your shield against panic attacks in the future.

Please do not expect the self-hypnotic technique to control panic attacks the first time you try it, you have to train your mind and body to obey you, and it may take some time. But, by persevering with the self-hypnosis, you should be able to circumvent future panic attacks in time.

The number of people suffering from panic attacks has reached epidemic proportions in this country. There are many causes of anxiety attacks. People are subjected to an incredible amount of stress which makes them feel helpless and afraid. As the economy has spiraled downward, people worry about losing their jobs. Smaller paychecks make it more difficult to pay monthly expenses. All these things can trigger panic attacks. These attacks can happen anywhere and at any time. Perhaps the most pernicious are those that strike during the night, depriving people of the sleep they need to cope with daily problems. The person suffering from panic attacks should not feel guilty about these, our society is so filled with anxiety an stress that it is a miracle everyone does not suffer from them. The important thing is not to let panic attacks control your life. You can learn how to control panic attacks.

Of course, when experiencing a panic attack, forcing yourself to relax might be difficult. You might find that you are holding your breath, so the first thing to do is to get your breathing back to normal. If you are in a place where you can lie down, do so and concentrate on breathing slowly and deeply. This will help by beginning to distract you.

Then, begin to concentrate on relaxing your muscles. You will probably find that your muscles are very tight and bunched up, a natural reaction to fear. Think of one area of the body at a time, and tell your right calf muscle to relax. Concentrate on that calf muscle until you can feel it relaxing, then move on to the next muscle. By the time you have worked on three or four muscles, you will probably find that most of your body has relaxed. Stress chemicals caused those muscles to tighten up, by relaxing, you will help lower the levels of those chemicals.

As you feel yourself relaxing, force the negative thoughts from your mind. Yes, they can seem overpowering and menacing, but force yourself to beat them down. Tell those thoughts to go away and work to replace them with positive thoughts. Remember the last time you had a really nice walk or a wonderful time you enjoyed with a special person. Try thinking about how you would bake a cake from scratch.

The whole idea behind the relaxation technique is to teach yourself how to break the pattern of panic by letting your body and mind relax. Dealing with panic attacks is no fun, but once the sufferer realizes that they have some sort of defense against these attacks, it will become easier and easier to overcome them when they do strike. It will help you to relax if you keep in mind that panic attacks can not cause you any actual physical harm, they will not cause you to have a heart attack or stop breathing. Relaxation will help you to get your heart rate back into control and your breathing at a normal level.
